Boeing Global Services (BGS) Consumables & Expendables (C&E) Distribution Business – Supply Chain Specialist/Asset Manager (Experienced)
Location: Burgess Hill, UK.
The Supply Chain Specialist/Asset Manager will be involved in a multitude of supply chain related activities including customer demand review, forecasting assessment, ordering of materials, managing material budget, reporting on supply activity, strategy development for support of contract requirements, enhancing processes and procedures, and working across a multi‑functional services team. Working knowledge, experience, and understanding of end‑to‑end supply chain activities are required. The position requires a high level of personal accountability and responsibility.
Position Responsibilities
* Provide status reports, briefs, and metrics relating to performance and mission readiness.
* Work closely with procurement, identify buying signals and make quick decisions to efficiently drive purchasing activities.
* Review bottlenecks across the business to adjust forecasting and supply planning.
* Coordinate to ensure current supply status and contract commitments meet program schedules and plans.
* Identify and resolve customer supply chain management issues and discrepancies.
* Demonstrate leadership through coordination of efforts between Supply Chain, Program, Warehouse, Finance, and Contracts.
* Analyze post‑production supply chain data to define reorder points and quantities and coordinate for economy of purchases.
* Assist in the collection and processing of supplier and customer data regarding products or services to include supply capabilities, capacity and performance.
* Ensure budget / EAC accountability for plan and open orders.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience)
* 3+ years of experience in asset management, purchasing, supply chain, or supplier management.
* Proficiency in supply chain management software and data analysis tools such as JDA/SPM and Oracle BI to aggregate and summarise large volumes of historical data and identify trends or issues.
* Proficiency in SQL and querying databases to support data analysis and reporting.
* Experience with ERP system functionality with an emphasis on SAP.
* Experience with Microsoft Office Products, particularly Excel.
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience)
* Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, or a related field.
* Experience working in the aerospace or defense industry with knowledge of industry‑specific regulations and standards.
* Excellent communication skills for cross‑functional interaction with the Customer, Program, Supply Chain, Contracts, Finance, Engineering, and Quality.
* Strong organizational, communication and presentation skills.
* Ability to adapt to changing business needs and priorities and a highly detail‑oriented mindset.
