The Science Department
Comprising 12 teachers and three lab technicians, the Science department is a well-organised and cohesive team delivering separate sciences at GCSE and a strong A-Level offering in all three disciplines. Labs are well resourced, and the department benefits from external STEM links and outreach programmes.
Your Role

Lead the strategic direction of the department across Biology, Chemistry, and Physics
*
Oversee curriculum planning, delivery, and assessment for KS3–KS5
*
Monitor and track student performance, using data to inform interventions
*
Manage staff development, mentoring, and departmental CPD
*
Ensure a positive, ambitious learning culture where all pupils can thrive
*
Liaise with SLT, governors, and external partners to promote STEM excellence
