This is a hybrid role with 80% homeworking and 20% in Stratford Upon Avon About the role We have an exciting new opportunity for a strategically minded pricing professional to join our pricing function within Head Office. You’ll be responsible for directing the development and embedding of our Fair Pricing Strategy as well as developing and building our member treatment policy and processes to deliver our fair pricing strategy. You’ll be the guardian for ensuring that Pricing is consistently delivering good customer outcomes. Working with the Pricing Leadership Team this will provide assurance Pricing is meeting our business strategy, mutual values and regulatory commitments with a direct escalation to the Head of Product and Pricing to ensure independence of oversight. As a Pricing Specialist you will develop and agree the strategy, approach, policies, and processes to ensure Customer outcome and Treatment Strategies are effective across the other pricing teams; right through the pricing process from modelling to retail pricing. This includes FCA Fair Pricing attestation and remedy reporting, Pricing Customer Outcome reporting and assessment, and Consumer duty reporting. You’ll use your technical expertise to develop ways of working that ensure the department stays informed of market best practices and complies with any regulatory changes. Design tests to ensure the integrity, confidence and accuracy of all rate models in delivering good pricing customer outcomes. As an ambassador for the Pricing function, you’ll maintain key senior stakeholder relationships across the wider business to support confidence in our Pricing Strategy and focus on Pricing Customer outcomes. About you We’re seeking a skilled pricing professional with significant experience within a general insurance pricing function, who has worked within either personal or commercial lines of business and has had direct responsibility for pricing outputs. You’ll be able to demonstrate substantial knowledge of the impact and implementation of UK regulations such as FCA Fair Pricing, Consumer Duty and/or Customer Outcome reporting. Your customer focus will be outstanding, and you’ll be proficient in driving change. As an excellent communicator, you will have the ability to forge successful senior stakeholder relationships and be able to effectively present technical information to individuals with diverse levels of technical proficiency. Ideally, you also demonstrate: Technical innovation related understanding the impact of pricing on our members Proficiency in reviewing the quality of models upon which price decisions will be made Experience in interpreting model outcomes and developing a price strategy and approach for a specific product area.
