The Role
We are seeking an Interim Financial Controller to join us for approximately 6 months as we expand. Supported by DigitalBridge, we have grown into the fastest-growing UK connectivity infrastructure company. You will be hands-on, leveraging your extensive experience in financial control and operations within a technology or XaaS environment. Your expertise in automating and simplifying financial processes will be crucial in transforming our business from the ground up.
Requirements
Financial Operations & Reporting:
* Oversee the preparation of consolidated financial statements and working papers monthly.
* Lead cash flow management and optimize financial resources.
* Manage financial control frameworks to ensure efficiency and compliance.
* Oversee transactional finance, payroll, treasury, and cash flow management (AP & AR), with a focus on automation.
Audit, Compliance & Tax Strategy:
* Ensure audit readiness and coordinate external audits.
* Strengthen internal controls to protect assets and ensure integrity.
Systems & Process Improvement:
* Lead the strategic direction of financial systems, implementing best-in-class platforms.
* Drive digital transformation and automation, especially in Microsoft Dynamics 365 and accounting tech.
* Collaborate with technology teams to improve data integrity, reporting, and automation.
Leadership & Team Development:
* Lead and mentor the finance team, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
Mergers & Acquisitions & Strategic Projects:
* Support expansion through M&A activities, funding, and post-acquisition integration.
* Implement scalable governance and processes for acquired businesses.
Knowledge and Experience
* Proven track record in transforming financial operations for scalable companies.
* Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA preferred).
* Experience with audit, statutory reporting, and compliance.
* Expertise in UK GAAP and financial governance.
* Experience in technology/XaaS sectors, preferably in a PE/VC-backed environment.
* Proficiency in MS Excel and financial systems, especially Microsoft D365 F&O.
