Overview
The Sussex CAMHS Acute services have an exciting opportunity for a permanent, Child and Adolescent Mental Health (CAMHS) Consultant Psychiatrist to join their expanding crisis and home treatment service. This is a post focused on design and development of an innovative new care model for Young People (12yrs – 18yrs), with an emphasis on play and delivering a safe, effective, and caring service as an alternative to admission or as support for discharge from an inpatient bed.
This is a new post following the commissioning of the service as an alternative to admission to a CAMHS ward. The Trust seeks a Consultant Psychiatrist to work with the multidisciplinary team in the new crisis and intensive home treatment service and to provide clinical leadership alongside senior MDT colleagues.
You will take a lead clinically and work as a proactive member of a full multidisciplinary team. You will also contribute to the leadership team and help to continually develop the acute care pathway alongside colleagues. The post offers flexible working opportunities and is based in Sussex.
Responsibilities
* Provide clinical leadership within the crisis and intensive home treatment service for CAMHS
* Lead and participate in a multidisciplinary team, contributing to the development of the acute care pathway
* Work as part of the Trust-wide Consultant network to liaise with colleagues in other posts
* Be part of the CAMHS on-call rota as required
* Support the design and implementation of new care models for young people aged 12–18
Remuneration and Benefits
* Recruitment and Retention payment of £25,000
* Relocation allowance of up to £8,000
* RRP payments paid in instalments: £5,000 on appointment; £5,000 at 12 months; £6,500 at 30 months; £8,500 at 48 months
* Recruitment and Retention Payment pro rata for part-time employees
