Field Service Technician

We are excited to announce we are recruiting a experienced and dedicated Field Service Technician to join our growing team across Rochford, Essex, Huntingdon, and Peterborough. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for the installation, calibration, maintenance, and repair of sophisticated equipment at customer sites throughout the southern region. More about the role: Install, calibrate, and maintain equipment onsite with precision and attention to detail, ensuring all work meets stringent quality standards
Diagnose technical faults and implement effective solutions with minimal supervision, demonstrating strong analytical and troubleshooting capabilities
Conduct routine maintenance visits and preventative inspections to maximise equipment performance and customer satisfaction
Work safely and effectively in confined spaces and challenging environments, adhering rigorously to health and safety protocols
Communicate professionally and empathetically with customers, providing clear explanations of work undertaken and building long-term relationships
Mentor and support junior technicians, sharing knowledge and best practices to foster team development
Maintain comprehensive records of all work completed, including detailed reports and recommendations for future servicing
Travel flexibly across the designated regions, occasionally staying away from home when required
Qualifications
About you: Proven experience in field service, equipment maintenance, or a related technical discipline
Strong hands-on, practical skills with the ability to diagnose and resolve technical problems efficiently
Excellent organisational and time management abilities, with capacity to manage multiple priorities
Professional communication and people skills, with a genuine commitment to customer satisfaction
Full clean UK driving licence
Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions and in confined spaces
Ability to work flexibly, including occasional overnight stays away from home
Streetworks certification
CSCS (Construction Skills Certification Scheme) card
Confined Space Entry Controller certification (medium risk)
First Aid at Work certification (3-day course)
