About the Team

You will be joining Softcat's Reward, People Services & Payroll Team. This team sits in the wider People & Property department, which plays a vital part in the company's growth and success, enabling Softcat to continue being recognised as a Great Place to Work.

Success. The Softcat Way.

There's a uniqueness to Softcat – what we do, how we do it and why we do it. That's because we help customers to use technology to succeed, by putting our employees first. We give everyone the chance to step up and show how much they can achieve. We succeed when all our people succeed.

This new role is responsible for:

* Leading self-service reporting initiatives, championing a data-driven culture across the organisation and acting as a data champion for the People & Property department.
* Delivering clear analytics and dashboards to support decision-making and workforce planning, translating complex people data into actionable insights across the People & Property department, and ensuring business teams have access to accurate, timely, and actionable insights aligned with enterprise data standards.
* Ensuring data integrity and compliance in all people-related activities, providing expert interpretation and advice, while sitting within the People & Property department to enable better decision-making.
* Assisting other members of the department in creating their own reports and improving data literacy.

What you'll be doing

* Champion Data-Driven Decision Making
o Serve as the primary advocate for data literacy and adoption within the People & Property department.
* People Analytics & Reporting
o Work closely with business users to understand their reporting needs and convert them into meaningful, insightful, and easy-to-use visualisations
* Training & Data Governance
o Deliver training and knowledge-sharing on analytics tools, data-driven practices, and reporting best standards for People & Property employees.
* Organisational Structure Management
o Serve as the People Data Champion, maintaining organisational structure management and uphold best practices in organisation design and compliance.
* Project & Cyclical Work
o Support cyclical and annual data activities—including pay review and regulatory reporting—ensuring accurate collection, analysis, and delivery of insights for compensation, compliance, and workforce initiatives

What we need from you

* Proven experience with HRIS (e.g., Oracle HCM), HR data management, and people analytics platform or equivalent enterprise visualisation/reporting tools such as Power BI.
* Understanding of HR processes, employment law, and data privacy, including GDPR compliance.
* Demonstrated ability to translate complex HR data into actionable insights that drive business decisions and strategic priorities.
* Proficiency in the native Oracle reporting toolsets and experience in designing impactful reports and dashboards.
* Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present data-driven findings to non-technical stakeholders and influence decision-making at all levels.
* Experience in HR reporting, workforce analytics, or a similar HR data role, with a track record of delivering insights that inform workforce planning, talent management, and organisational effectiveness.
* Strong stakeholder management, collaboration, and training skills, including the ability to lead knowledge-sharing sessions and promote data literacy within HR teams.
* Analytical and curious mindset with attention to detail, able to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies in workforce data and recommend evidence-based actions.
* Commitment to continuous improvement, data governance, and compliance with employment laws and internal policies.
