About the Office for Investment (OfI)
Increasing private investment, foreign and domestic, is crucial to the UK’s economic growth and the future prosperity of its citizens. Private investment is also fundamental to delivering energy transition and establishing international leadership as a science and technology driven economy. The OfI, a joint unit between No.10, HM Treasury and the Department for Business and Trade (DBT), aims to secure this investment to drive growth, job creation and increased productivity across the UK.
This Investment Learning Consultant role is part of the Investment Learning Team (ILT) within the OfI. The ILT’s core function is to design and manage an investment-specific learning and development programme, known as the Investment Learning Programme (ILP), for the OFI’s staff in the UK and around the world.
We are currently building the ILP from scratch, creating a range of live training sessions, job aids, elearning modules and other resources to help colleagues achieve their investment goals. As one of the few teams in DBT creating learning in this way, we’ve been given the space to design practical content that’s fully focused on investment colleagues’ needs.
As an Investment Learning Consultant, you’ll be:
* Working with subject matter experts to design learning content (including tutor-led courses, elearning and job aids) to deadlines
* Delivering live learning events as a trainer, including virtual events and in-person courses in the UK and occasionally overseas
* Overseeing a teammate’s administration of the ILP, ensuring efficient processes and a good learner experience
* Gathering and analysing data (learner feedback, attendance, test results etc.) through surveys, focus groups and interviews to drive continuous improvement
* Inputting into strategic decisions regarding the team’s direction and deputising for the G7 as appropriate
You’ll be joining an engaged, welcoming and motivated team. We have a strong focus on creating a positive working environment and actively promote learning and development within the team.
