Salary: From £30,000 per annum, inclusive of enhancements
Hours:37 hours per week, plus 10 sleep-in shifts per month and overtime opportunities
Roster:4 week rolling roster to include some weekends and Bank holidays

About the Role
As aResidential Childcare Support Worker,you will perform a vital role in our children's lives, working as part of a team, and being a responsible, trusted ‘parent figure’ for looked-after children.
Your responsibilities include:
* Building strong, positive relationships with children who have experienced traumatic and difficult backgrounds
* Supporting their educational and emotional development, helping them to heal and thrive
* Planning and co-ordinating engaging, fun activities, encouraging the children’s leisure interests
* Ensuring a structured, safe, comfortable home environment
* Following regulatory processes which includes good administration and recording of information
About you
To succeed as aResidential Childcare Support Worker, we’re looking for candidates who are:
* Dedicated to child safeguarding
* Empathetic and effective communicators, able to form trusted, meaningful relationships with children
* Passionate about making a positive difference in children’s welfare
* Resilient and patient, capable of handling challenging behaviours
* Proactive and creative in activity planning
* Capable of practical ‘life skills’ including cooking, cleaning and good home management
* Detail-oriented and competent users of IT, to ensure that every child’s needs are met and documented in line with regulatory expectations and standards
Essential must haves
A valid UK driving licence, proximity to Ringwood, Bournemouth and Ferndown with a willingness to pursue relevant qualifications such as NVQ Level 4 in Children, Young People & Families Practitioner.
