Salary: £13.48 - £13.62 per hour (Sleep over paid at hourly rate £13.45)

Location: Tollcross

Hours: 12 - 32 hours per week

The Vacancy

Amy is seeking a caring, reliable, and enthusiastic *Personal Development Worker to provide person‑centred support for a young lady living in the Tollcross area.

Amy is a friendly and sociable individual who enjoys building positive relationships with both peers and staff. She benefits from support that is patient, encouraging, and tailored to her interests and daily needs.

About Amy:

1. Enjoys arts and crafts, creative activities, and jigsaws
2. Likes playing games and taking part in enjoyable shared activities
3. Loves shopping and spending time out in the community
4. Values quality time with her family and maintaining close connections

The Role:

The successful Support Worker will support Amy with:

5. Daily living activities, including maintaining her home (light housekeeping, tidying, and creating a comfortable living environment)
6. An element of personal care, delivered with dignity and respect
7. Accessing the community, including shopping and social activities
8. Encouraging independence, confidence, and wellbeing
9. Providing consistent, positive, and person‑centred support aligned with Amy’s preferences

Ideal Candidate:

10. Kind, patient, and approachable
11. Comfortable supporting with personal care and household tasks
12. Enjoys creative, interactive, and community‑based activities
13. Reliable, trustworthy, and able to build strong, professional relationships
14. Previous care experience is beneficial but not essential — full training can be provided
