Main duties of the job
The post holders would need to provide a courteous, efficient and professional ward clerk service, making a valuable contribution to support patient care from the time of admission, transfer or discharge. The successful candidates would be the first contact point for all ward visitors and members of the multi-professional team so good interpersonal skills are essential.

Skills, Abilities & Knowledge
Desirable criteria
10. Knowledge of Careflow system would be advantageous
11. Knowledge of Word and Excel
Experience
Essential criteria
12. Experience of taking and responding to telephone enquiries from customers and within own organisation and prioritising as necessary.
13. Recent experience of working within a customer care environment
14. Experience of high demand, team based environment
Desirable criteria
15. Knowledge of NHS Trust or general experience within the National Health Service
Education, Qualification & Training
Essential criteria
16. English Language GCSE grade C or above or equivalent.
17. IT/Computer skills to RSA I or equivalent with recent work experience in this field.
