Prospectus is delighted to be supporting a collective partnership of UK national parks in searching for a Communications Officer.
The organisation works on behalf of the UK’s 15 national parks, building ambitious national partnerships with organisations such as BMW UK, Vodafone, Santander UK and The Estée Lauder Companies UK & Ireland. They also have an award-winning Revere initiative in partnership with Palladium, helping to attract private investment into nature recovery. A small but entrepreneurial team, the organisation exists to grow the impact, influence and resources of the national parks family.
Responsibilities
* As Communications Officer, help tell the stories of the UK’s national parks in engaging, creative and accessible ways.
* Combine digital content creation with the smooth running of the organisation's digital platforms.
* Work closely with the Director of Communications & Brand to bring a new national brand to life and shift perceptions of national parks from “beautiful and passive” to “dynamic, active and people-powered”.
* Create content for social media, websites and newsletters, support national campaigns, and collaborate with communications teams across the Parks to ensure consistent, high-quality storytelling.
Requirements / Qualifications
* Experience creating engaging digital content, including written, visual and video content to build and nurture online communities.
* Experience in supporting national campaigns and a shared communications activity.
* Confidence to communicate effectively in a matrix-style environment.
* Experience in keeping brand resources, templates and guidance up to date.
* A full UK driving licence is required as some travel to the national park sites will be required.
