About the Role
HSDC is looking for a reliable and safety-conscious Minibus Driver to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for transporting students and staff as scheduled, ensuring vehicles are kept clean, roadworthy, and fully compliant with college standards. You will maintain accurate vehicle records, support with driver training (including MIDAS), and assist cross-campus teams with deliveries and postal runs when required.
This position is ideal for someone with strong customer service skills, attention to detail, and a flexible approach who takes pride in delivering a professional and supportive transport service for the College community.
Responsibilities
You will be responsible for:
* To drive the college vehicles in line with schedules, as directed by the Educational Visit Co-ordinators.
* To maintain the colleges vehicles ensuring high standards of cleanliness (internally and externally) and roadworthiness, reporting all defects immediately to the Educational Visit Co-ordinators.
* To maintain records as required by the Educational Visit Co-ordinators e.g. vehicle log sheets, mileage logs, check sheets
* To work overtime as required to cover the driving schedule, including college Open Evenings and Awards Evenings.
* To support with the delivery of Midas training and supporting this with the college driver team across all campuses.
* When driving schedules slacken, and under instruction from the Educational Visit Co-ordinators, augment cross campus teams with delivering and postal runs.
Requirements
You will need:
* Good general education to include Maths and English to Grade C, or willingness to undertake.
* D1 license endorsement, or training course.
* MIDAS qualification.
