JOB – Quality Engineer
Location – Port Talbot | Term – Permanent | Salary – £40,000 to £45,000 per annum (plus benefits)
My client is a leading Engineering and Manufacturing company supplying precision components and assemblies into a range of industries. They are looking to expand their team by taking on a Quality Engineer to work at their site in Port Talbot.
Qualifications
 * Previous experience working as a Quality Engineer within a manufacturing or engineering environment
 * Proficiency with 3D CAD software (SolidWorks, Inventor, or similar) for design validation and dimensional analysis
 * Experience in Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement methodologies
 * Proven track record in delivering process improvements and efficiency gains
 * Strong understanding of quality tools and techniques such as FMEA, 8D, Root Cause Analysis, and SPC
 * Knowledge of ISO9001 or other quality management systems
 * Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
 * Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with internal teams and suppliers
 * A relevant engineering qualification (HNC, HND, BEng, or equivalent)
Responsibilities
 * Supporting and improving quality processes across production and engineering departments
 * Using 3D CAD tools to validate designs and ensure manufacturability
 * Implementing and maintaining Lean and Continuous Improvement initiatives
 * Conducting root cause analysis and driving corrective actions
 * Performing internal audits and supporting external audits as required
 * Liaising with suppliers and customers to resolve quality issues
 * Generating and maintaining quality documentation, inspection plans, and reports
 * Contributing to product and process development to ensure compliance and efficiency
