Qualifications:
As part of the delivery of the UK MOD P8 contract, Boeing Defence UK (BDUK) is seeking a Technical Support Services Engineer to join the P8 Poseidon MRA1 CAMO Support Team. The role involves providing Military Aviation Authority Regulatory Publication (MRP) compliant support to the P8 Mil CAMO, supporting activities related to Maritime Surveillance, maintenance, modification, and flight testing of the P8 aircraft at RAF Lossiemouth.
Responsibilities:
The engineer will report to the BDUK P8 CAMO Lead Engineer and the Part M Manager, and will be responsible for:
* Providing technical support for Aircraft on Ground (AOG) and critical issues.
* Managing defects to reduce operational disruption.
* Monitoring operational reliability and addressing emerging issues.
* Overseeing defect management and deferred defect levels.
* Conducting technical investigations and implementing corrective actions.
* Supporting fleet configuration, modifications, and repairs.
* Assisting in generating technical documentation such as SIs, RTIs, UTIs.
* Improving processes and supporting audits related to continuing airworthiness and safety.
Essential Competencies:
* UK HND or higher qualification, or equivalent experience.
* Knowledge of Continuing Airworthiness and experience with P8 or Boeing 737 aircraft.
* Understanding of UK Military Aviation Regulations (MRP Part M & Part 145) and MoD policies.
* Experience working in aircraft operations and safety standards.
* Strong communication skills and stakeholder engagement.
* Ability to obtain UK Security clearance.
The candidate will interface with UK MOD and Boeing teams.
Desirable Competencies:
* UK Military Service CAMO experience.
* Experience with Airworthiness Assurance audits.
* Technical knowledge of P8 and other large aircraft.
* Familiarity with GOLDesp and GOLD MRO systems.
* Knowledge of UK Form 700 Series, ERCs, and UK Aviation DDH requirements.
* Support for aircraft safety investigations and QMS knowledge.
* UK Professional Registration (e.g., Incorporated Engineer).
Additional Notes:
* Relocation is not available.
* Security clearance required.
* UK travel expected about 5%.
