We have a great opportunity to join us at a very exciting time, if you are passionate procurement we are looking for a Fixed Term Procurement Manager. You support value delivery to the business through effective vendor management, ensuring high-quality service, cost efficiency/management, and strong vendor relationships. This role involves managing purchase orders (POs), monitoring vendor performance, and collaborating closely with the Senior Manager, IT Procurement Manager and Senior Buyer.

1. Vendor Relationship Management – Develop and maintain strong relationships with key IT vendors to ensure high-quality service and support. Act as the primary point of contact for vendor-related issues and escalations
2. Purchase Order Management - Oversee the creation, tracking, and management of POs to ensure timely and accurate processing.Work closely with the procurement team to streamline PO processes and resolve any discrepancies.
3. Contract Management Assist in negotiating and managing vendor contracts, ensuring compliance with company policies and standards. Collaborate with the legal team to finalise supplier contracts using company templates.
4. Performance Monitoring Monitor and oversight vendor performance against agreed service levels and key performance indicators (KPIs). Address any issues or discrepancies in vendor performance promptly.
5. Cost Management Identify cost-saving opportunities and ensure that procurement activities are within budget. Collaborate with the finance team and stakeholders to track and manage budgets, ensuring accurate forecasting and reporting. Work with the procurement team to achieve cost reduction targets and maintain financial discipline.
6. Risk Management Identify and mitigate risks associated with vendor relationships and procurement activities. Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and company policies.
7. Reporting Prepare regular reports on vendor performance, procurement activities, and cost savings for senior management. Provide insights and recommendations based on data analysis.
8. Collaboration Work closely with the IT Procurement Manager and Senior Buyer to align vendor management strategies with overall procurement goals. Support cross-functional teams in achieving procurement objectives.

9. Degree Level in any related field is advantageous e.g. Supply Chain Management, STEM fields
10. CIPS Level 4+ (or working towards) advantageous
11. Experience within the logistics or retail industry preferable
12. Experience developing executing category plans with support from management
13. Prior supplier negotiation experience
14. Prior supplier and contract management experience
15. Strong knowledge of tendering principles and best practice
16. Awareness of Contracts and Contractual terms from a procurement point of view
17. Ability to articulate contract terms and conditions to various audiences
18. Awareness of financial accounting principles for cash flow, savings recognition and OPEX/CAPEX
19. Ability to influence senior leaders and directors to ensure the right decision is made that is best for the business
