What you’ll do:
* Lead and manage bids and tender submissions for the Transport business, reporting to the Business Development Director.
* Manage a Bid Team based in Warwick and London, planning resources to pursue opportunities.
* Ensure effective utilization of resources across the business to maximize opportunities.
* Manage the end-to-end process of producing high-quality, successful bids according to telent’s procedures.
* Improve bid quality through best practice approaches.
* Monitor bid costs and seek ongoing improvements in bid return on investment.
* Develop relationships with customers, including site visits and presentations.
* Oversee Bid team performance, KPIs, and SLAs.
* Develop and execute bid strategies, from Go/No Go to submission and post-bid support.
* Plan workload, forecast bids, track costs and success rates, and report on bid performance.
* Conduct bid reviews and maintain the Bid library.

Key requirements:
* Extensive experience managing high-performing bid teams and driving bid success rates.
* Proven success in leading and winning bids in sectors like Traffic, Rail, Defence, or Emergency Services.
* Strong project management and organizational skills.
* Financial acumen with ability to interpret financial data.
* Broad knowledge of relevant products, technologies, and services.
* APMP or equivalent qualification with a record of successful bids.
* Excellent bid writing skills, including responses to tender questions and cost proposals.
* Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office.
* Leadership skills with a focus on building high-performing teams.
* Ability to develop solutions for complex challenges and influence stakeholders.
* Excellent communication skills at all organizational levels.
* Ownership mindset, resilient attitude, and proactive approach.
* Ability to work independently while maintaining team collaboration.
* High emotional intelligence and pride in quality outputs.
