Privileged Access Management Engineer - 6-Month Contract
Location: Wokingham, UK (Onsite, 5 days per week)
Rate: Market rate - Inside IR35
A leading organisation is seeking an experienced Privileged Access Management Engineer to support Azure-based architecture, solution design, and modernization initiatives across a large enterprise environment. This is a fully onsite role based in Wokingham.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead solution design and documentation for Azure-based systems using formal architecture frameworks.
* Drive solution architecture through established governance processes.
* Support application migration from legacy platforms into modern Azure environments.
* Provide architectural oversight for Azure VMs, Windows GPO configuration, FS-Logix, and hybrid cloud infrastructure.
* Ensure system integration aligns with enterprise architecture standards.
* Collaborate with business stakeholders, engineering teams, and technical functions to shape solution approaches.
* Translate business requirements into secure, scalable technical designs.
* Contribute to modernization of legacy systems and environments.
* Identify automation opportunities and enhance operational efficiency using scripting (Python preferred).
Your Profile
* Proven experience as an Azure Solution Architect or similar engineering role in enterprise environments.
* Strong knowledge of Windows infrastructure, Azure Virtual Machines, Group Policies, and FS-Logix.
* Experience with systems integration and automation, including Python scripting.
* Skilled in producing architectural documentation using formal templates.
* Understanding of governance frameworks (NESO or equivalent).
* Ability to collaborate effectively across technical and non-technical teams.
* Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving, and communication skills.
* Experience within the electricity or utilities domain is a plus.
* 10+ years of relevant experience preferred.
