The role reduces fleet risk, improves driver behaviour, and supports legal and policy compliance. You will work directly with drivers, carrying out on-road assessments, coaching, and follow-up in line with company policy and UK road traffic legislation. What Wren offer: Life Assurance after 2 years' service Access to Benenden health and discount platform after 1 years of continuous service Personalised progression plan with clear career opportunities Individual training budget for personal development EE discount Staff discount on purchasing a kitchen/bedroom after 1 year of continuous service Eye Care Vouchers Refer a Friend Scheme Free onsite gym Main Responsibilities: Conduct on-road and in-vehicle assessments for all commercial drivers Provide practical coaching, remedial training, and induction sessions Identify unsafe behaviours and implement improvement plans Support collision investigations with professional assessment input Use telematics, incident data, and risk scores to target interventions Maintain accurate records and produce clear, defensible reports Promote a strong safety culture and consistent driving standards Support compliance with Road Traffic Law, company policy, and best practice About You Desired Skills and Knowledge: Essential: Full UK driving licence (other categories a plus) Experience assessing or training commercial drivers Knowledge of UK road traffic law and fleet risk Strong communication, coaching, and organisational skills Able to work independently in a field-based role Professional, consistent, and flexible, including travel and occasional overnight stays Computer literate Desirable: Driver assessor/trainer qualification Telematics or driver behaviour experience CPC, IAM, FORS, or similar Collision/near-miss investigation experience Applicants for this role who are offered employment will be subject to a basic criminal record check from the Disclosure & Barring Service before the appointment is confirmed.
