Responsibilities: Drive, champion, and promote quality practices and behaviours across the department and site. Efficiently manage, plan, and implement the progress of products under test within the QC department. Lead and develop staff to a high level of proficiency and performance by setting clear expectations, providing timely feedback, and mentoring for continuous improvement. Proactively inform collaborators of concerns identified during QC testing or review. Ensure audit readiness within the team by maintaining accurate training records. Maintain quality standards by raising incident/CAPA investigations and leading OOS (out of specification) investigations. Drive continuous improvement through PPI to deliver flawless performance. Foster a safety culture to ensure all team members act safely at work every day. Minimum Requirements/Qualifications: Degree in a Biological Science or equivalent experience Significant laboratory experience, ideally with a Quality Control testing background Technical expertise – proven understanding of Oxoid products and their uses Experience using SAP, Quality Management Systems, and MS Office software packages Preferred Experience: Striving for results by planning efficiently and assessing priorities consistently. Ability to remain calm and work methodically under pressure. Effective in technical troubleshooting through root cause analysis. Continuous improvement mentality. Comfort around senior management, able to articulate expertly and concisely. Open communication, encouraging collaborative relationships and building trust across functions.
