About this job
The successful candidates will bring their experience and skills in one-to-one communications, recruitment, organising and campaigning. In particular, they will focus on recruiting new members – motivating them to take an active role in our campaigns, and identifying new activists across all sectors of our membership. They will demonstrate a commitment to trade unionism and our union's values, as well as a good understanding of UNISON's policies and objectives.
The UNISON Regional Centre is in Belfast, but some posts may require significant activity in locations across Northern Ireland and will entail daily travel for recruitment activities, meetings and/or training as required.
The successful candidates will need to be flexible with their working hours. Reaching members can be challenging during "office hours" so the successful candidate may be required to work in the evening and occasionally at weekends.
