We are currently recruiting for a Maintenance Engineer to join a busy and forward-thinking engineering team at our Oakham site. This Maintenance Engineer role is a fantastic opportunity to work on a range of moulding machines, automation equipment and ancillary systems, ensuring maximum uptime and efficiency. The Maintenance Engineer will play a key role in both reactive and planned maintenance, while contributing to continuous improvement initiatives across the manufacturing operation.
Key Responsibilities - Maintenance Engineer
Provide shift breakdown cover on moulding machines automation equipment and ancillary equipment
Carry out planned preventative maintenance on all relevant machinery and systems
Diagnose and repair faults in an efficient and safe manner
Support and implement improvements to manufacturing automation processes
Work collaboratively with cross functional teams to achieve shared business goals
Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency
Promote and adhere to safe working practices at all times
Comply with all company policies procedures and regulations
Support training and development of colleagues alongside the Maintenance Supervisor
Deliver improvement targets including OEE within area of responsibility
Assist other engineers as required
Qualifications & Requirements - Maintenance Engineer
Time served engineer with an electrical bias ideally multi skilled
Strong fault finding and problem solving skills
Experience working within a manufacturing or production environment
Injection moulding experience would be advantageous
Self motivated with a proactive approach to improving equipment performance
Good understanding of health and safety regulations and safe systems of work
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
