Meraki Talent are partnering with a leading membership body to appoint a Finance Manager. This is a fantastic opportunity for a commercially minded and hands-on finance professional to join a membership organisation. You will play a key role in owning and leading the finance function, supporting strategic decisions and driving financial control across the organisation.
Key Responsibilities:
* Financial Operations: Manage daily finance tasks including ledgers, bank reconciliations, cash flow, expense processing, fixed asset register, and month-end journals (prepayments, accruals, payroll).
* Revenue & Invoicing: Oversee revenue data from platforms (e.g., Stripe, Shopify, WooCommerce), ensuring accurate reconciliation, recording, and timely sales invoicing.
* Credit Control & Deferred Income: Monitor aged debtors, drive credit control activity, and manage deferred income with appropriate period allocation.
* Month-End & Reporting: Deliver accurate and timely month-end close; support the CFO with MI, reporting, and financial insights to inform key decisions.
* Payroll & Compliance: Coordinate payroll with HR and external providers, ensuring compliance with HMRC, pension schemes, and statutory obligations.
* Audit & Year-End: Prepare audit documentation, liaise with external auditors, and ensure adherence to accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
* Budgeting & Forecasting: Assist in annual planning, track performance against budgets, prepare variance analysis, and manage short- and long-term cash flow forecasting.
* Business Partnering: Be the go-to finance contact for internal teams, supporting with budget tracking, invoicing, supplier onboarding, and promoting strong financial understanding.
* Continuous Improvement: Identify and implement improvements to financial systems, tools, and workflows to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
