Role Description
This is a hybrid role for a Design Manager within the wind energy sector to oversee the regulatory compliance of offshore wind projects. This position offers home working flexibility.
Candidate Requirements
* 5+ years of experience in the wind energy sector
* Managing design contracts and suppliers certification
* Control and review of documents
* Experience in the design of offshore wind facilities
Key Responsibilities
1. Project Leadership: Lead the foundation design process for offshore wind projects, from initial concept through final design and construction.
2. Technical Expertise: Apply advanced knowledge of geotechnical and structural engineering to create designs that ensure stability, durability, and cost efficiency in challenging marine environments.
3. Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams, external partners, and stakeholders including structural engineers, geotechnical experts, environmental specialists, and marine contractors to ensure seamless project delivery.
4. Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all designs meet local, national, and international standards for offshore foundations, including those specific to the wind energy sector.
5. Risk Management: Conduct detailed risk assessments and incorporate mitigation strategies into design plans to address environmental, structural, and operational risks.
6. Innovation and Optimization: Implement new technologies and design methodologies to enhance foundation efficiency and minimize environmental impact.
7. Project Documentation: Prepare detailed technical reports, design documentation, and project updates to keep stakeholders informed throughout the project lifecycle.
Additional Responsibilities
* Manage operational and technical scope, including planning and execution of project packages.
* Manage schedules with (sub)contractors.
* Develop risk and quality management strategies, continuously seeking improvements.
* Maintain and update risk matrices.
* Collaborate with other teams to resolve interface issues.
* Ensure high standards of quality and HSE are maintained.
Contract Details
