We are seeking an exceptional leader to join the University Executive Team as Pro Vice‑Chancellor Dean for the newly formed Faculty of Business and Law. Reporting to the Deputy Vice‑Chancellor and Provost, this role is key to shaping and leading the university’s academic portfolio.
Responsibilities
* Lead and grow the Faculty of Business and Law, encompassing the Business School and the School of Law and Society
* Drive research, innovation, and enterprise, fostering knowledge exchange and real‑world impact across business, law, and social sciences
* Develop strategic alliances with industry, public sector, and community partners (e.g., AFC Bournemouth, University Hospitals Dorset, Crown Prosecution Service, NGOs)
* Shape a distinctive academic community that promotes entrepreneurship and thought leadership
* Provide financial and operational leadership, ensuring resource management and sustainability of the faculty
Qualifications
* Senior academic leadership experience at a strategic level
* Proven track record of delivering ambitious outcomes for students, the university, and external partners
* Visionary, energetic, collaborative, with the ability to inspire faculty, staff, and stakeholders
* Strong financial acumen and experience of operational and resource management
* Passion for innovation and a commitment to digital excellence and entrepreneurial growth
