The Role Overview
This role involves leading and supervising the branch team to exceed sales goals and deliver excellent customer service. You will actively engage with customers, manage branch operations, and support the Branch Manager in achieving key business targets. As a Branch Supervisor, you will play a pivotal role in enhancing customer satisfaction and driving business growth.
Key Responsibilities
1. Exceed Sales, Margins, and profit budgets whilst controlling costs as agreed
2. Ensure Lawsons Best Practice, Standards and Company Policies are met
3. Motivate the individuals within your team
4. Regularly communicate branch and company performance to the team
5. Take overall responsibility for all administrative and auditable tasks
6. Contribute and communicate ideas, proposals and initiatives for improving operations and administration procedures to develop/expand the Company
7. Adhere to the Company's high standards of Health & Safety and Security
8. Capitalise on opportunities for cost savings across the business
9. Deputise for the Assistant Branch Manager in their absence
Essential Skills and Experience
10. Building material knowledge and experience in a Timber / Builders merchant (ESSENTIAL)
11. A Full UK Driving License (ESSENTIAL)
12. Previous sales and operations experience
13. Excellent communication, Influencing and negotiating skills. Both oral and written
14. The ability to prioritise whilst working under pressure
15. Exceptional time management skills
16. Experience of leading, motivating and supporting a team
17. Role- modelling behaviour- working with integrity, honesty and in a confidential manner
18. Ability to be hands-on where needed and lead from the front when required
19. A desire to progress into Branch management
20. Strong administrative and IT skills
21. Strong numerical skills with the ability to calculate weights and measures.
22. Someone who will promote and adhere to the company's cultures, values and professionalism.
Working Hours
The standard hours for this role are Monday - Friday 07.30 - 17.00, with every other Saturday from 08.00 - 12.00, totalling 44.5 hours per week.
Location
The position is based at our Romford branch:
164 Collier Row Rd, Romford, RM5 2BD.
