Key Responsibilities:
1. Support the planning team on a diverse range of infrastructure projects
2. Prepare and manage consent applications for various projects
3. Take responsibility for specific aspects of projects, such as drafting reports and liaising with clients and stakeholders
4. Lead smaller projects, ensuring delivery aligns with client objectives and timescales
5. Collaborate with engineers, environmental teams, and communication specialists
6. Manage planning processes from feasibility to implementation phases
7. Ensure compliance with relevant planning legislations and policies
8. Develop and maintain working relationships with both internal and external stakeholders
Job Requirements:
9. Degree and/or masters in Town Planning and a Member of the Royal Town Planning Institute (MRTPI)
10. Good knowledge of relevant planning legislation and planning policy
11. Experience in producing documentation to support infrastructure consents or planning policy
12. Ability to articulate complex issues concisely, write reports, present effectively, and manage client relationships
13. Proven project management skills
14. Experience in commercial/financial management for project profitability
15. Experience in business development and successful bidding for work
