ABOUT US
Creating Active Futures (CAF) operate and manage sports and leisure facilities provided by local authorities. The aim is to operate community based sports and leisure facilities, enhancing accessibility for all individuals to engage in diverse physical activities. Specifically, CAF aims to empower individuals to overcome barriers to participation in sports and leisure including those facing financial constraints, limited opportunities, or lacking necessary support to fully engage in sports activities.
JOB DESCRIPTION
Primary objectives for the Group Exercise Instructor will be:
* To ensure the safety and enjoyment of everybody participating in the class.
* To promote excellence of customer service and motivate people to enjoy exercise through good communications and selling skills.
* To run classes of a high standard and producing the desired outcomes for all members taking part in the class.
The Group Exercise Instructor will focus day to day on the following tasks:
* To guide, care for and assist all fitness users especially in areas of motivation, well-being, nutrition, and fitness testing.
* To make sure all equipment and facilities are safe and secure when not in use.
* To ensure the class starts and finishes at the stated times set.
* Collect all class tickets when customers enter the facility.
* Teach the class in a professional and positive manner.
PERSON SPECIFICATION
Qualifications, Knowledge and Skills
* The successful post holder will have knowledge and skills in the class subject being taught.
* Exercise to Music Level 2

DBS
The position of Group Exercise Instructor is classed as a regulated post and therefore requires a DBS Disclosure. Where the individual does not hold already hold a DBS Disclosure, it will be necessary for the post holder to be submitted for a DBS check.
