The Role:
The Digital Experience & Development team is responsible for leading the development and implementation of the University’s digital presence across all core platforms (excluding the UoP website). The team develops new digital solutions to create a seamless experience for both staff and students and leads the move to Azure Integration Services within the integrations team. The role drives digital innovation, identifying technical opportunities for the University to be a HE sector leader within digital experience and transformation.
As Head of Digital Experience & Development, you will lead on the development and implementation of a strategy and roadmap for all solution development and core IS systems support across on‑premise and cloud services, ensuring excellence in service delivery, user experience, security, accessibility and information governance standards. You will also be responsible for the CRM strategy and roadmap, balancing a pipeline of change and business‑as‑usual work to meet the needs of a broad array of end users.
You will manage the Digital Development and CRM Teams, transitioning to new Microsoft technologies, tools and Agile ways of working. This includes delivering key development projects, supporting business‑as‑usual change, and managing legacy applications requiring decommissioning or rebuilding.
As the key point of contact for all digital development across the University, you will support major projects and strategic planning with business areas, manage resources effectively, liaise with project managers and stakeholders, and collaborate with IS and Digital Solutions & Delivery management teams.
This appointment is a fixed‑term contract of 10 months (until 27 November 2026) and includes a sign‑on and assignment retention bonus of £6,250 (pro‑rated if the contract is shorter).
