As a Kitchen Assistant, you will have experience with food preparation and catering, adhering to Health and Safety and Food Standard regulations. You will monitor and maintain kitchen cleaning schedules, ensuring all areas are kept immaculate, including washing up crockery and utensils as required.
Responsibilities include:
1. Managing pressure, prioritising tasks, and communicating effectively at all levels.
2. Acting as the link between the main kitchen and residents.
3. Assisting chefs with meal plating, food trolley preparation, and maintaining cleanliness in preparation areas.
4. Demonstrating a genuine interest in working within a care home environment.
5. Previous experience in a care home is desirable but not essential.
6. Adopting a committed and organised approach.
7. Communicating confidently with excellent verbal and written skills.
8. Working flexibly across shifts.
