We're seeking a proactive Manufacturing Engineer to support the development of the Assembly, Integration and Test process for a major program. This role is pivotal in transferring production knowledge from overseas partners and embedding best practices on the shop-floor.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the transfer of AIT production knowledge to the UK site
Act as the shop-floor focal point for manufacturing engineering and tooling
Support operators and drive structured problem-solving and process improvements
Coordinate cross-functional teams to optimise cost, quality, and efficiency
Provide design-for-manufacturing input during product development
Develop Standard Operating Procedures and work balance charts
Support project execution through cross-functional collaboration
Ensure compliance with EHS and manufacturing quality standards
Essential Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in Mechanical Engineering, or HND/Advanced Apprenticeship in Manufacturing/Mechanical Engineering
Proven experience in complex engineering environments
Track record of manufacturing excellence
Familiarity with Engineering Change processes and BOM structuring
Experience in SAP planning (training available)
Ability to operate effectively within complex organisations
