Learning Support Assistant
£90-£97
October 2025 – July 2026
A nurturing and friendly three-form entry primary school in Havering are looking to welcome talented Teaching Assistants to their team from October 2025.
The school is split over 2 floors, and is rectangular by shape with impressively resourced play areas in its centre, and wrapped around the outskirts of the classrooms. Classrooms are light and airy, with the children’s art work decorating nearly all of the communal wall areas.
The SEND provision here is exceptional. There are two alternative resource provisions that accommodate up to 14 children between the two, a speech and language room, and a ‘thrive’ centre with two assigned learning mentors. Staff at the school also have access to a school councillor and Art therapist. Staff well-being and mental health is as equally as important as the welfare of the children.
The school will be opening a brand new Autistic provision by October ½ term, with a maximum capacity of 18 children. The building contains 2-3 learning areas, 2 large sensory rooms, and an interactive sensory experience ‘cubby’. There is also a designated outside space for the children here too.
Learning support assistants are required to be based in the new provision, and will work 5 days per week from (Apply online only). Candidates with or without school experience are welcome to apply, but they must have some form of child-related experience to refer to.
The leadership team here are down to earth and supportive. They adopt a fairly laid-back approach, but just ask that staff are committed and positive.
The school is accessible from Dagnenham Heathway on the tube, and there is free local parking available.
