Research Fellow in Flexibility Modelling and Grid Impact Optimization - Salford
Salford Business School is seeking a talented and motivated Postdoctoral Research Fellow to join our interdisciplinary research team working at the forefront of sustainable energy systems. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to a high-impact project focused on flexibility modelling and grid impact optimisation, supporting the transition to sustainable cities and societies.

Working under the leadership of Professor Vahid Vahidinasab, Chair in Sustainability, you will play a key role in shaping the research agenda of the Salford Centre for Research on Self-sustaining Systems and Societies. The role offers the chance to engage with academic, industry, and community partners, and to contribute to the development of solutions that address pressing societal and technological challenges.
The role:
As Postdoctoral Research Fellow, you will lead the development of an optimisation-based simulator to assess how grid-edge devices contribute to power grid flexibility. You will use advanced modelling and simulation tools such as PandaPower and OpenDSS to evaluate the impact of distributed energy resources on grid performance.
