The Opportunity
We are working with a well‐established and growing insurer to recruit an experienced Claims Handler to join a specialist claims function in Manchester.
This role focuses on the management of high‐value, complex Motor and/or Casualty claims, offering the opportunity to take ownership of significant losses and work closely with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders.
The Role
* Handling a portfolio of large and complex claims, typically £100k+
* Providing technical input and supporting claims strategy on high‐value cases
* Acting as a key point of contact for brokers, policyholders, loss adjusters and suppliers
* Working closely with internal teams, including underwriting and senior claims stakeholders
* Supporting and mentoring less experienced claims professionals
* Identifying trends, technical issues and development opportunities within the team
* Liaising with reinsurers as required
About You
* Proven experience handling large loss Motor and/or Casualty claims
* Strong technical knowledge with commercial awareness
* Confident communicator able to manage senior stakeholders
* Calm, structured approach when handling complex and sensitive claims
* Highly organised with strong attention to detail
* Comfortable using standard Microsoft Office applications
