Application Support Engineer
Hybrid (2 days per week in-office)
Our client is seeking an experienced Application Support Engineer to join their team ASAP. This is an exciting opportunity for a technically strong and customer-focused professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys solving complex technical challenges.
The Role
As an Application Support Engineer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the stability, performance, and continuous improvement of key business applications. You will troubleshoot technical issues, support MS SQL databases and C# .NET applications, and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to deliver high-quality service within agreed SLAs.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide 2nd/3rd line application support across business-critical systems
* Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues efficiently
* Support and administer MS SQL databases and C# .NET applications
* Work with incident ticketing systems and knowledge base platforms to meet SLA targets
* Collaborate with development, infrastructure, and business teams
* Ensure adherence to IT security principles and best practices
Essential Skills & Experience
* Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field
* ITIL certification
* Proven experience in application support environments
* Strong experience supporting and administering MS SQL databases
* Experience with C# .NET applications
* Solid understanding of database systems (SQL, MySQL, etc.)
* Knowledge of web technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript)
* Experience using support tools and incident management systems
* Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
* Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities
* Customer-focused approach with a commitment to service excellence
* Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic environment
* Flexible to work outside core business hours at short notice
