1. Developing and maintaining of in-house software tools to assist various aspects of manufacturing operations.
2. Collaborating with manufacturing, engineering, and IT teams to capture requirements and provide effective software solutions.
3. Delivering software and hardware integration with existing manufacturing equipment and systems.
4. Contributing to the design and deployment of new software applications for manufacturing needs.
5. Creating and maintaining documentation for software tools, including user manuals and technical guides’, managing version control and updates for software tools in line with industry standard methodologies or internal processes.
6. Collaborating with external vendors and consultants to improve in-house software capabilities.
7. Supporting the scalability and reliability of software tools and integrated hardware to enable future growth.
8. Supporting efforts to automate data collection and reporting for real-time monitoring and decision-making.
9. Participating in multi-functional project teams to support continuous improvement initiatives and new product introductions.

For This Role, You Will Need:
10. Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Electrical, Software, or related field) or equivalent experience.
11. Minimum of years of practical software development experience within a manufacturing or engineering environment, with a focus on supporting production systems, automation, or industrial processes.
12. Experience in programming languages such as Python or similar, software development tools and environments, such as Visual Studio, or similar, and version control systems such as Git or SVN;
13. Practical experience with SQL Server for querying, managing, and analysing structured data, including designing and optimizing stored procedures, views, and reports to support manufacturing operations;
14. Understanding of manufacturing processes and operations, including automation and production workflows
15. Knowledge of data analysis tools and techniques, including statistical analysis with strong problem-solving skills and the ability to tackle software issues
16. Strong communication and collaboration skills to optimally work with multi-functional teams, including IT, engineering, and production
Preferred Qualifications that Set You Apart:
17. Previous exposure to Emerson products and/or understanding/experience of New Product Development (NPD) lifecycle
18. Familiarity with ERP and PLM systems (JDE/Enovia/Oracle preferred)
19. Project management skills or experience working in project teams, handling timelines, and delivering results
20. Ability to build and update user guides and standard operating procedures
21. Knowledge of software architecture and design patterns for scalable and maintainable software
22. Practical knowledge of Microsoft Power Automate, experience with Agile development methodologies and awareness of cybersecurity principles related to manufacturing systems and software;
23. Electronics, Electronic Systems and Embedded Firmware working knowledge
