A great opportunity has arisen for a Commis Chef to kick start or pursue their career in a well established high end Hotel based near Veryan, Truro.As a Commis Chef, your primary responsibility will be to assist the senior chefs in preparing and presenting high-quality dishes. You will work under the supervision of the Chef de Partie or Sous Chef to ensure that all food is prepared according to the established recipes and standards of the kitchen. Your duties will include basic food preparation tasks such as chopping vegetables, portioning ingredients, and assisting with cooking and plating. Additionally, you will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and hygiene in your work area, as well as adhering to food safety standards and regulations.You will be enthusiastic and eager to expand on your culinary skills as you work alongside the brigade.Working within a motivated team you will be passionate about delivering high quality food.This position carries a degree of responsibility, although training and support will be given.You will either have had experience in a similar role or be looking for a challenging career in the catering industry.This is a full time permanent position offering an annual salary between £28,000 - £29,000 plus tips and company benefits.Live in accommodation available, depending on availability.
