The Role
We are seeking an Assistant Contracts Surveyor to support our Contracts Surveyor in the day-to-day management of projects. This role is broader than a traditional Quantity Surveying position, encompassing cost control, contract administration, and project reporting. It is an exciting opportunity for someone who is detail-oriented, organised, and proactive, with strong report-writing and communication skills.
Key Responsibilities
* Assist with cost management, valuations, and reporting
* Prepare and maintain accurate project documentation and records
* Support the management of budgets, invoices, and contracts
* Liaise with contractors, suppliers, and internal teams
* Help ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to our high standards
Skills & Attributes
* Highly detail-oriented with excellent organisational skills
* Strong report writing and communication abilities
* Ability to work collaboratively in a small team environment
* Enthusiastic, proactive, and adaptable
* Strong interest in construction and project delivery
* Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field advantageous
Experience
* Some prior experience in construction is advantageous, but not essential
* Knowledge of construction processes and terminology beneficial
