Job Summary: The Payroll Associate will help to support the payroll function within the organisation. In this role, you will assist in processing payroll accurately and on time, ensuring compliance with internal policies and external regulations. Working under the guidance of the Payroll Manager, the Payroll Associate will be responsible for maintaining employee payroll records, processing data related to hours worked, leave, benefits, and deductions, and responding to payroll-related queries. You will work closely with HR and Finance teams to ensure payroll accuracy and support the overall financial health of the organisation. Key Accountabilities: Input all information into the payroll systems (Sage, ResourceLink) for the proper payment of all relevant salaries Action expense sheets for staff, checking mileage rates, extra hours worked and sleep-over allowances Assist in recording and ensuring that all amounts due to the Government and other external bodies in respect of Income Tax, National Insurance, Pensions and other payroll deductions are paid Investigate over payments to staff, ensuring that all monies recoverable are collected Respond to queries in a timely manner relating to Payroll About The Role Requirements of the Role You will be required to participate in the company performance management process. To adhere to and model the company values, behaviours and competencies at all times. To carry out all duties of the post in accordance with Praxis rules, regulations and policies. To carry out additional duties of the role and all other required duties as and when necessary. The above mentioned duties are note exhaustive and the post holder will be required to carry out other duties as and when necessary. It should be noted that stated duties or location associated with the post may change to meet the future needs of the organisation. Essential Criteria: Experience & Qualifications: 5 GCSEs Grade C and above including Math's and English 2 years paid experience working in a payroll department Knowledge of statutory regulations and returns Skills & Competencies: Proficient in MS Office Suite Attention to detail Ability to work to deadlines Attributes: Ability to work on own Initiative Team player Required Criteria Right to work in the UK 5 GCSEs Grade C and above including Maths and English 2 years paid experience working solely in a payroll department Knowledge of statutory regulations and returns Desired Criteria ROI & IOM Payroll knowledge Experience of working with Sage and ResourceLink Skills Needed Accounts Payable, Payroll, Communication, Teamwork About The Company Praxis Care provides a wide variety of services to vulnerable adults and children, supporting individuals with mental ill health, learning disabilities, autism and dementia.
