This food manufacturing company is currently recruiting for a Maintenance Engineer.
An expanding Food production at which you would be dealing with all equipment which requires a responsible and organised approach.
Reporting to the Maintenance Shift Team leader, you'll be responsible for the continuous running of equipment and machinery in industrial settings. Using computerised systems, you will perform routine maintenance and repairs. You'll also be involved with control and monitoring devices and occasionally assist in the manufacture of items that will help in maintenance.
12 hr shifts, days only 6-6
Week 1 - Monday, Tuesday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday
Week 2 - Wednesday, Thursday
Only 2 days every other week!
Key Responsibilities:
* Carry out routine maintenance work across the factory, warehouse and offices and respond to equipment faults
* diagnose breakdown problems
* fit new parts and make sure equipment is working correctly
* carry out quality inspections on jobs
* control maintenance tools, stores, and equipment
* deal with emergencies, unplanned problems, and repairs
* improve health and safety policies and procedures
* ensure there is continuous cover of the machinery and equipment in case of breakdowns.
* Create and update maintenance, and breakdown reports.
* Keep Shire maintenance system up to date and current
Key Skills & Abilities:
* Proficient with engineering schematics, both electrical and Mechanical
* Minimum requirement of a time served apprenticeship for mechanical maintenance engineer & basic electrical knowledge/qualification
* Methodical approach to working, impeccable record keeping
* Knowledgeable in the use of power tools, welding equipment and precision instruments
* Proven work history
