Are you an experienced KS2 Teacher with a passion for supporting children through their crucial final years of primary education?
A Junior School is seeking a committed and enthusiastic KS2 Teacher to join their team from September 2025, with a focus on Years 5 and 6. Roles and Responsibilities:
* Teach across Years 5 and 6, delivering engaging and effective lessons aligned with the KS2 curriculum.
* Prepare pupils for KS2 SATs, including targeted revision and assessment strategies.
* Plan and differentiate lessons to meet the needs of all learners, including those with SEN.
* Simplify complex concepts to ensure accessibility and understanding for all pupils.
* Work collaboratively with the Teaching Assistant to support individual and group learning.
* Conduct regular assessments, track progress, and use data to inform planning.
* Write detailed pupil reports and participate in parents' evenings.
* Create a safe, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment.
What you'll need to succeed
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
* Proven experience teaching in Upper Key Stage 2 (Years 5 and 6).
* Strong understanding of SATs preparation and assessment frameworks.
* Experience working with children with special educational needs.
* Excellent communication and organisational skills.
* A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
