Our Sussex studio seeks a motivated Residential Layout Architect / Designer specialising in working with developers and housebuilders to achieve planning permissions.
Position overview
The successful candidate will simultaneously lead several projects, ranging from small infill schemes to large urban extension projects, worth £1 million to £200 million in construction value. Projects include working with housebuilders, private developers and housing associations, preparing feasibility drawings, masterplans, proving layouts and planning application packages.

Essential qualifications and experience
* Minimum 5 years UK experience working in the residential sector on house-builder-led schemes.
* Demonstrable experience running large projects from inception to achieving planning permissions.
* Excellent attention to detail.
* Ability to run a small team.
* Strong knowledge of planning standards and UK building regulations.
* AutoCAD and Sketch‑Up proficiency.
* Revit experience beneficial but not essential.
Remuneration & package

Studio
ECE Sussex is a modern, highly sociable studio just a stone's throw from the seafront in West Sussex, within walking distance of Worthing and East Worthing train stations. Free parking is available within a 15‑minute walk. The ground‑floor studio is fully accessible from street level, with gender‑neutral and accessible toilet facilities.
