We are seeking a talented individual to collaborate with our Senior Creative Design Manager and various teams to produce and manage creative design ideation, ensuring our beloved franchises and characters are brought to life in products that uphold brand integrity. Your expertise will contribute to the development of trend boards, innovative solutions, and maintaining design consistency across all projects. What You Will You Do Collaborate with the Senior Creative Design Manager to produce and manage all creative design ideation, design requests, and pitch directions for the global account. Translate Disney franchises, characters, and storytelling into products, ensuring brand integrity is upheld at retail. Build and nurture relationships with design, operations, character art, franchise, product development/licensing, and content partner teams to ensure synergy and share best practices. Clearly present visions, ideas, and pitches in both formal and informal settings as needed. Provide design direction for initiatives by researching creative solutions and demonstrating a high-level awareness of consumer and market trends. Create and illustrate design icons and graphics for product development purposes. Support team Designers as needed, ensuring all work meets required standards and adheres to brand guidelines. Contribute to the development of trend boards and new ideas (ideation) that bring innovation and freshness to future projects, building on existing strategies. Adhere to corporate guidelines, ensuring character and design consistency and integrity in all work produced. Foster effective relationships within the wider creative community, leveraging their expertise to create relevant designs that push boundaries. Attend trade shows, events, and experiences as needed to gain insights into the EMEA marketplace, seeking out new ideas and creative solutions to better understand the business. Participate in creative brainstorming sessions with internal and external teams. Work closely with the Lead Designer to plan projects effectively, ensuring deadlines are met and budgets are maintained. Ensure that all agreed projects are successfully executed within budget and on time. Required Qualifications & Skills Degree-level education in a related field (graphic design, packaging design, illustration, or product design) or equivalent experience. Experience in storytelling and character-based design is desirable. Proven ability to take a design from concept to execution. Knowledge of Disney characters and storytelling, and how they translate to products. Experience in building effective relationships and managing stakeholders within a large, multi-national, matrix organization. Ability to communicate design ideas using freehand drawing, computer techniques, and/or third-party design resources to both internal and external stakeholders. Essential ability to work to tight deadlines and manage multiple projects end-to-end in a fast-paced environment. Proficiency in Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, and Keynote. Beneficial graphic design and illustration skills. Strong attention to detail. Ability to create cohesive storytelling trend/POV boards. Ability to develop new and innovative concepts and translate them into a storyline through strong graphics and creative direction. Ability to generate and present creative ideas to internal and external clients, including producing Keynote presentations and pitches. Strong negotiation and creative problem-solving skills.
