We’re looking for a Technical Sales Engineer who’s more than just a ‘salesperson’—we want a proactive, adaptable engineer or technical expert who can build strong relationships, and help clients find smart solutions to their toughest problems. You’ll be able to nurture and expand the company's business relationships in the UK, whilst also finding and developing new relationships within our ideal customer base. In order to succeed in this position you’ll have a solid technical understanding of the company and its products compiled with the type of personality that finds it easy to build rapport with potential new and existing clients. About You You’ll have a background in Electriconics Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a closely related field. You’ll also have the technical sales experience and be well versed in new business development strategies as well as nurturing existing clients. We value your unique perspective from customer meetings. You'll play a key role in our marketing by sharing ideas, client feedback, and common problems to help us communicate more effectively. You're a highly motivated and adaptable individual, eager to apply your skills within our technical sales engineering team. Your excellent communication skills allow you to engage confidently with diverse individuals, and you're proactive, resilient, and committed to achieving objectives. As a team player, you're ready to join a small team of 5 people and contribute across various functions, embracing an ‘all hands on deck’ approach. We're a small, agile team where every individual's contribution is vital to our growth. Our unique rural office near Chichester (PO18 9HU) offers a tranquil work environment. Ideal Experience & Outcomes What you'll achieve and the skills you'll bring: Technical Sales & Business Development: Master our product lines to develop new business opportunities. Proactively engage and qualify leads through outreach and at trade shows (UK/Germany), nurturing them through the sales cycle to meet targets. Marketing & Strategic Contribution: Collaborate with marketing by translating customer insights into ideas for digital content (blogs, case studies). Use tools like LinkedIn to research target companies and enhance sales strategies. Partner & Operations Management: Build strong relationships with our international manufacturing partners. Manage the sales pipeline efficiently using our CRM, from generating quotes to assisting with product dispatch. Team & Culture: As a key member of our small team, demonstrate a flexible, "all hands on deck" attitude with a proactive drive to achieve objectives in a dynamic environment. Overview (Salary, Benefits and Hiring Process): Salary: £45,000 to £50,000 Company Performance Bonus: Maximum of 15% Location: Hybrid, based near Chichester (4 days in-office, Friday from home). Travel: Requires 4-5 weeks of travel per year for trade shows.
