Production Operative - £12.62 per hour - Temp to Perm - Outskirts of Colchester
We are currently recruiting for a Production Operative on behalf of a well-established and fast-growing company based on the outskirts of Colchester. Specialising in the production of food-based goods, this company offers a long-term opportunity with strong prospects for career development.
Job Overview:
This is a temp-to-perm position ideal for individuals looking for stable, long-term employment. Previous experience is not required, what matters most is a positive attitude, reliability, and the ability to work well as part of a busy production team.
Please note: due to the rural location and lack of public transport, access to your own transport is essential.
Key Responsibilities:
Working across various stages of the production line, including loading, checking, and packing
Inspecting and grading raw materials
Maintaining high standards of hygiene and cleanliness
Adhering to legal and company food hygiene standards
Completing final packing and stacking of finished goods
Supporting supervisors and management with additional tasks as requiredCandidate Profile:
Previous experience in a manufacturing, production, or FMCG environment is desirable
Flexible, reliable, and committed to maintaining high work standards
Comfortable working both weekdays and weekends as part of a shift pattern
Good communication skills with strong attention to detail
Based locally to Colchester with own transport
Willing and able to work overtime as neededWorking Hours & Pay:
4 on, 4 off shift pattern (7:00am - 6:00pm), including weekends, which are reduced hours
£12.62 per hour
Overtime available at enhanced rates
Free on-site parking
