Salary: £23,014 - £33,876 per annum (Pro rata - 30 hours per week)

About the Role
We are seeking an inspirational Lecturer in Health and Social Care to join a dynamic teaching team at a leading Further Education college. Key Responsibilities
Teaching and Learning Excellence
1. Deliver inspirational teaching across health and social care programmes
2. Provide teaching and assessment in line with awarding organisation requirements
3. Maintain teaching materials on VLE and online platforms
4. Prepare comprehensive Schemes of Work and Assessment
5. Conduct standardisation, assessment and internal quality assurance
6. Work flexible hours including evenings, Saturdays and summer periods
Student Support and Development
7. Act as personal tutor, supporting learners with progress monitoring
8. Track and review student progress, maintaining accurate records
9. Provide regular feedback to students, parents/guardians and employers
10. Support work placement elements of programmes
Programme Leadership and Development
11. Lead one or more health and social care programmes
12. Assist with student recruitment and admissions
13. Attend promotional events and contribute to marketing materials
14. Participate in course team reviews and curriculum development
15. Liaise with external awarding organisation representatives
Professional Development
16. Develop and maintain industry links with health and social care professionals
17. Engage in continuous professional development in specialist areas
18. Stay current with health and social care legislation, policies and best practices
Essential Requirements
Qualifications
19. Teaching/Training qualification (or commitment to obtain)
20. Relevant Health and Social Care/Health Science qualification (minimum Level 3)
21. Maths and English qualifications (minimum Level 2)
22. Enhanced DBS with Barred List check (required)
Experience
23. Recent and relevant health and social care industry experience
24. Previous teaching/lecturing experience in Further Education environment preferred
25. Experience in student workplace supervision and support
Skills and Attributes
26. Comprehensive knowledge of current Health and Social Care legislation and policies
27. Current Health and Safety knowledge
28. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
29. Ability to inspire and motivate learners to achieve excellence
30. Strong teamwork and relationship-building capabilities
31. Well-developed time-management and organisational skills
32. Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as required
33. Clean driving licence
