We offer a range of EdTech services supporting apprenticeships, including an End-Point Assessment platform and certification functions in Scotland and Wales.

About the Role:
We are seeking a motivated Junior Software Developer to join our growing development team. This is an excellent opportunity to expand your skills, collaborate with experienced developers, and grow within a supportive environment. You will work closely with the Team Lead and wider Development team to support day-to-day development activities, contribute to new and existing projects, and provide technical assistance to end users.
Key Responsibilities:
* Develop, maintain, and enhance web applications in line with specified requirements.
* Participate in peer code reviews to ensure code quality and knowledge sharing.
* Carry out testing activities, including functional and regression testing.
* Write and maintain technical documentation.
* Assist with team planning, estimation, and discovery activities.
* Handle support tickets and provide timely end user support.
* Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot, debug, and resolve issues.
* Contribute to continuous improvement of development processes and practices.
Required Skills & Experience:
* PHP
* HTML, CSS, JavaScript
* Laravel
* Vue.js
* MySQL
* Basic Linux server usage
* Competent with Git
* Strong problem solving skills and attention to detail
* Proven ability to work collaboratively within a team
* Good communication skills, both written and verbal
* Exposure to Docker
* Committed to code quality and maintainability
Nice to Have:
* Exposure to RESTful APIs.
* Familiarity with Agile methodologies.
* Interest in DevOps or server administration.
* Understanding or experience with AWS.
* Experience with CodeIgniter.
* Exposure to Terraform.
