Reporting directly to the Financial Controller, you will oversee a team of Finance Managers, Management Accountants, and Assistant Management Accountants, ensuring our business's financial health and strategic success. With a hybrid working arrangement (three days at our Customer Support Centre), this role offers a perfect balance of challenge and flexibility.

You'll lead our Financial Accounts team as our Senior Finance Manager. Your role will include:
* Lead and inspire a team of 13 finance professionals, fostering a culture of collaboration and excellence.
* Ensure timely and accurate reporting, including the preparation of management accounts, P&L statements, balance sheets, and cash flow reports.
* Drive operational efficiency by identifying and implementing process improvements in financial systems and reporting tools.
* Support strategic decision-making through variance analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and insightful financial commentary.
* Collaborate with stakeholders across the business, from operational teams to senior management and external auditors.
* Ensure compliance with statutory and regulatory standards, maintaining robust controls and up-to-date knowledge of IFRS or UK GAAP.
* Contribute to crucial projects, supporting the Head of Financial Accounting with strategic initiatives and ad-hoc tasks.
To be considered for this role, you should possess:
* A fully qualified accountant (ACCA, CIMA, ACA, or equivalent).
* Significant post-qualification experience in management accounting or financial reporting.
* A strong history of leading and developing high-performing finance teams.
* Experience in retail or a fast-paced, high-volume industry is highly desirable.
* Comprehensive understanding of management accounting principles, IFRS, or UK GAAP.
* Proficiency in financial systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and advanced Excel skills.
* The ability to prioritize competing deadlines and deliver under pressure.
