Cloud and Infrastructure manager £85,000 The Cloud & Infrastructure Manager plays a critical role in supporting senior IT leadership by overseeing and enhancing the organizations cloud-based and on-premises infrastructure. This position involves leading a technical team to deliver secure, scalable, resilient, and efficient infrastructure services. Core Responsibilities Design and implement infrastructure strategies that support organizational goals Plan for future scalability and ensure infrastructure is resilient and adaptable Oversee the end-to-end management of cloud-based and on-premises systems Ensure systems are secure, highly available, scalable, and efficient Lead the development and maintenance of backup and disaster recovery solutions Ensure infrastructure meets all relevant security standards and compliance requirements Implement protective measures to safeguard organizational data and digital assets Continuously monitor infrastructure performance to ensure consistent service delivery Address performance issues proactively to maintain system reliability and uptime Lead a team of IT infrastructure professionals, supporting their growth and development Provide ongoing technical direction and mentoring Collaborate with other IT functions, including software engineering and information security, to enable new technologies and initiatives Manage third-party cloud and infrastructure service providers Oversee contract negotiations and ensure service quality in line with agreed terms Develop and manage infrastructure budgets Optimize technology investments to meet organizational needs in a cost-effective manner Qualifications and Skills Professional Experience Over 10 years in senior IT infrastructure roles Minimum of 5 years focused on cloud technologies and operations Proven experience with hybrid infrastructure solutions such as virtualization, networking, and public cloud platforms (e.g., Azure, VMware, Cisco) Strong background in security frameworks and compliance standards for cloud environments Leadership & Communication Demonstrated ability to lead teams and manage performance effectively Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills Ability to manage competing priorities and coordinate team workload efficiently Technical Expertise Proficient in Microsoft Azure, Infrastructure as Code (e.g., Terraform), and cloud design principles such as Landing Zones In-depth knowledge of cloud architecture, data management, and system security Skilled in troubleshooting and resolving infrastructure challenges through strategic thinking and analysis
