The role involves direct responsibility for all cleaning staff during their shifts, reporting to the Facilities Manager. You will be responsible for service delivery on shift to ensure standards are met, handling cleaning materials according to COSHH regulations, and undertaking daily cleaning duties.
As a Cleaning Supervisor at Bellrock, your responsibilities include:
* Ensuring cleaning activities comply with safety, quality, and environmental policies and legislation, and informing staff of their responsibilities
* Attending statutory and mandatory training in line with legal responsibilities
* Ensuring all equipment is validated, safe, and operational
* Maintaining a clean and safe working environment
* Locking away chemicals after use in designated storage areas
* Safely disposing of refuse, considering fire and health safety risks
* Identifying and reporting safety and security issues
* Supervising, directing, and monitoring the cleaning team to meet service standards
* Inducting and training cleaning staff
* Addressing issues like unauthorised absence and reporting incidents to the Facilities Manager
* Following HR policies and procedures
* Providing cleaning staff with necessary materials to meet standards
* Proper placement of cleaning signs and correct use of colour-coded equipment
* Maintaining cleanliness of cupboards and equipment
* Conducting daily spot checks and completing reports
* Checking and maintaining stocks of cleaning materials
* Maintaining cleaning equipment and reporting faults
* Using cleaning equipment, supplies, and materials efficiently
* Locking premises, facilities, grounds, and setting alarms daily
